At the un-godly hour of 6am Mr. G and I will be headed out of the “Land of the Pines” to the land of…left-winged, beer-loving, socially conscious hipsters? I recently read Tom Austin’s 2007 article, in Travel + Leisure, uncovering the city’s rumored label of being America’s Eden. The article, illuminating Portland’s alternative side, makes me hope Portland is still as weird as it was two years ago.
In addition to checking out the city and plethora of vegan restaurants, we’ll be checking out one of our favorite bands, Blitzen Trapper, at the Doug Fir Lounge . I’m so stoked for the next four days. Peace out homies and enjoy the weekend!
